Seymour Duncan SJM-1 Vintage for Jazzmaster Pickup - Black

This listing is for a BRAND NEW Seymour Duncan SJM-1 Vintage for Jazzmaster Pickup - Black

Description

Introduced in 1957 to provide a mellow sound for jazz players, surf guitarists were soon using this cool guitar and pickup combination. Every detail in sound, construction and appearance is faithfully duplicated in this vintage pickup. Output is moderate; and mids and highs are boosted.

Application

Vintage correct single-coil Jazzmaster® pickup. Recommended for country, pop, surf, blues, jazz and classic rock.

Complete Setup

Available in a matched neck and bridge set. The neck version is reverse wound/reverse polarity (RW/RP) to create a humbucking effect when used together with the bridge model.

Guitars

For warmer toned ash, alder or basswood body instruments. Works especially well with rosewood fingerboards.

Players

Jeff Tamelier / Tower of Power, Al Schnier / moe., Michael Ciravolo / Human Drama

Customer Review: I got these pickups to replace the "shrill" Japanese pickups in my Fender CIJ Jazzmaster. I've only had them in one day but I'm really pleased with the change. On the down side they have a bit more hum because they are more traditionally designed. Not a big issue as I use a hum debugger. Overall I'm happier with with the sound of the SJM-1 set.
