Seymour Duncan SH-PG1b Pearly Gates Humbucker Pickup, Neck

BRAND NEW Seymour Duncan SH-PG1n Humbucker Pickup for Neck Position, Black

Application: Warm, slightly hotter than vintage humbucker. Great for blues, classic rock, southern rock, jam, and hard rock.
Description: The original custom Pearly Gates™ pickups were wound for the famous '59 Les Paul® Standard that defined the raw, rebellious sound of Texas blues rock. Essentially a variation on the Patent Applied For sound, the Pearly Gates sound is sweet, but slightly rude, with great sustain and a bright top that make harmonics jump out of the guitar. Comes with four-conductor hookup cable.

Complete setup: Available in both neck and bridge positions.  Can be used in the bridge position with an APH-1n Alnico Pro II in the neck for smoother tones; or, a Pearly Gates in the neck with an SH-11 Custom Custom for heavier rock sounds from the bridge position. This pickup is a direct replacement and requires no guitar modification. Wiring schematic and mounting screws are included.

Guitars: For brighter toned instruments.  Works especially well with maple and ebony fingerboards. Also works great with hollow and semi-hollow body guitars.

Players: Dickey Betts (neck & bridge), Warren Haynes/Gov't Mule (neck & bridge), Howard Lease/Heart (neck & bridge), Greg Martin/Kentucky Headhunters (neck & bridge)
