Yamaha CPX500II Acoustic Electric Guitar
The CPX500II Acoustic-Electric Guitar boasts features and looks that you would normally find on a guitar 3 times its price. High quality tonewoods are crafted into a comfortable medium-jumbo body style, giving you a big sound without overwhelming size.
The sound of the CPX500II begins with a spruce top accompanied by Nato back and sides, with non-scalloped X-type bracing ensuring a powerful yet controlled tone. With an exclusive Medium-jumbo body shape, the CPX500 guitar boasts a single cutaway body design that allows for extended range in your lead playing for when you need to access those upper register notes. The slim taper nato neck with a rosewood fingerboard and traditional dot inlays will feel comfortable in your fretting hand.
When it’s time to plug in, the CPX500II’s lush acoustic tone is amplified by an A.R.T. Pickup System (Acoustic Resonance Transducer). This new pickup was designed with a multilayer structure consisting of six layers of different materials. This dampens excessive vibration from the topboard while picking up small resonances to achieve ideal sensitivity and outstanding dynamic balance. Also, because the pickup is fitted directly beneath the topboard, it functions as a transducer attached to the body; creating a 3-way configuration.
In addition to two main pickups mounted under the saddle, this system has one each on the bass and treble sides to capture the vibrations of the entire length of the strings and body, as well as the sound's bass and treble components. The pickups are laid out in such a way as to achieve clear reproduction even during high-position soloing.
