Pro Track DP188CRIt's warm, it's friendly, it sounds like a vintage PAF® and will drop right into your Strat®. The Pro Track™ has enough power for any pickup position, and the dual-blade construction means there won't be any problems with string-alignment or dropouts. In the bridge position, this is a great blues pickup: combine it with The Cruiser® (neck) and a Fast Track 1™ (middle) for a solid mix. Pair two Pro Track™ pickups in the neck and middle positions with a Fast Track 2™ or any full-size humbucker in the bridge position for a heavy yet versatile rock sound. Tech Talk: We've heard from several players who need to play some jazz numbers without switching guitars, and they say the Pro Track™ is an excellent neck pickup. If you install a push-pull pot, you can switch the coils from series to parallel, which will add a more single-coil type sound while still canceling hum. Tone Zone S DP189CR The Tone Zone® S brings the famous performance of The Tone Zone® to a humbucking Strat® replacement pickup. We’ve built in the tremendous mid-range and bass response of the original Tone Zone®, and the same patented dual-resonance design produces great harmonics. We also took into account the likelihood of installing The Tone Zone® S in the classic slanted Strat® bridge position, warming up the higher frequencies and brightening the low notes a little. It has 4-conductor wiring for parallel humbucking and split-coil modes, and makes a great bridge position combination with the Pro Track™, The Chopper™, and Fast Track 1™. Tech Talk: If you compare the specs of the full-size Tone Zone® with those of the Tone Zone S™, you will notice they don't match. That's because the trick in building a single-coil size pickup to sound like its big brother is to go for the sound rather than the numbers. We also took into account the likelihood that the Tone Zone S™ will be installed in the classic slanted Strat bridge position, so we warmed up the higher frequencies and brightened the low notes a little to compensate.
